In this article I would like to talk with you about, what in my opinion are, three best horse supplements. The supplements that I am about to share with you are proven and tested by time and I think that every person who cares about his horse's health and wellbeing should own and use these supplements.
Joint Supplements
When I talk to my friends I like to use this interesting analogy and compare horses to human athletes. It does not matter whether you ride horses for recreational or competitive reasons, the constant pounding and twisting of horse's joints leave them vulnerable to injury.
On top of that they get older their bones and joints get weaker therefore the chances of your horse suffering from joint problems increase by a lot. If you want to make sure that your horse's joints are healthy and strong you need to make sure that you supplement your horse's diet with high quality joint supplements.
Horse Calmers
In addition to this you also want to make sure that you use horse calmers. The chances are pretty high that eventually at some point you are going to need to travel with your horse and horse calmers are great to keep your horse calm.
In addition to this horse calmers are great to use if you compete. The fact is that new environment and the presence of hundreds of spectators can cause a lot of stress to your horse and this stress can negatively impact your horse's performance. It doesn't matter whether you compete at show jumping, eventing, dressage or racing events. You need to have horse calmers ready in case your horse can't cope with stress.
Garlic Supplements
In addition to joint supplements and horse calmers you also want to have garlic supplements in your horse supplement arsenal. Flies and other annoying insects can cause rashes, lumps and bumps which obviously not very good for your horse.
Garlic supplements are great, because once you give them to your horse your horse's sweat starts to produce odor which scares off flies and other annoying insects.
That's it. Of course there are other horse supplements such as feed balancers and so on, but in my opinion these three are three most important ones that you need to have if you want your horse to be healthy and strong. There's no need to look for supplements that contain new blends or new formulas. At this point all you wan to do is focus on supplements that are proven and tested by time.
Remember that it doesn't matter whether you look for joint supplements or garlic for horses, you want to look for supplements that are made by companies that only use proven and tested ingredients and that have been around for more than few years.
